Video Work
Here you will find an Archive of previous video work I have done in the past.
I'd describe my video editing style as 'fast paced'. I prefer any given shot does not over stay its welcome while also giving it enough time to shine. I also prefer less down-time between shots if it is not necessary.
I primarily use Adobe Premiere Pro for all the base video editing and Adobe After Effects for any VFX (Mostly text and moving graphics) on top of the video.

"My Friend Dan"
"My Friend Dan" is a documentary on fellow classmate and creative Dan Chamberlin, documenting our peers' opinions on Dan's work and impressions he made on them.
For this video I made an attempt to mimic Dan's artistic style whilst keeping with my own style of editing and design aspects. What came of it is a sort of "MTV" style of documentary that aimed to showcase Dan as a "Genius before his time" kind of artist.
I consider this to be one of my 'cleanest' works editing wise. Between having a clear vision on what I wanted the video to be and having all the assets I needed, everything fit together perfectly and "My Friend Dan" became one of my earlier great works.
"Dr. Frankenstein and the Grey Area"
"Dr. Frankenstein and the Grey Area" stars Dr. Frankenstein and his assistant Igor as they are about to bring the monster to life, but when God intervenes it becomes a debate on morals rather than whether or not it is even possible.
This was the first final animation I did for the Digital Media and Animation program in college. I took a lot of inspiration from Adult Swim shows such as Space Ghost and Aqua Team Hunger Force for the overall animation style and design.
The editing on this I am proud of. All of the assets being self made meant that I had complete freedom over how they were utilized and put together within the video itself, not only that but the cutting between Dr. Frankenstein creating the monster and God debating with the Angels made for a nice variety between scenes.

"Warui Koi"
"Warui Koi" is a live action parody of Japanese anime, utilizing all of the tropes that fans of the genre are aware of in a tongue in cheek matter.
Aside from comedic value, I apricate "Warui Koi" looking back now as it was one of the first videos I edited that I feel showcased my preferred "Fast Paced" style of editing in a noticeable and effective form. The anime parody style worked well with that style of editing.
This project was fun to put together, and the editing process did prove to be a challenge due to the shots not being as straight forward as what I was used to, but this is the project that I feel allowed me to figure out what type of editing style works best for me and my later projects are better off for it.
"Pig War"
"Pig War" is a re-telling of a historical even known as "the Pig War" in which a war was almost started over the death of a single pig.
This project was my first time really utilizing Adobe After Effects for its intended purpose, all assets in this video were animated using After Effects. "Pig War" was really my start at making sliding graphics look smoother and visually I think it worked well with the paper-craft look I went for with the models.
This video is where I feel like I was really able to use layer upon layer on a timeline and keep them all in check and use them all to their fullest, even now I animate any text or graphic layers in the same way as I did in "Pig War".

"The Flavor Factor"
"The Flavor Factor" is an experiment in which a group of participants taste test 2 sodas to see if there is a difference between the two and which one they like more.
This was made in collaboration with fellow student and creative Aidan Wilson. While we both were active in the filming process, Aidan handled the graphic design elements on this one and I focused on the editing.
The editing in this video is what I would consider to be more "professional" than my other works, while there were humorous elements to it the goal of the video was to showcase the evidence on the experiment and what the results were, this was also a video in which I only worked with self made or royalty free assets.
"Digital Analysis"
"Digital Analysis" is a discussion on interactivity in the media and how that impacts narrative structure and design.
This was the final video project I made during my college career, and for an elective unrelated to my degree no less. This video is an earlier instance of me making a narrated analysis video on a single topic. I utilized all of my previous experience with different aspects of the video, mainly animation on the graphics on screen and using different videos on top of each other coinciding with a point I'm trying to make or topic at hand.
I would say this video is what lead to me beginning the "Solid Jack Frost" project I have been working on in recent years.
